AvaTrade Code 128979: What It Really Does
I get asked about partner codes constantly. Always the same thing: do they give you free trades or discounted spreads?
Short answer: no. AvaTrade doesn't charge commission on forex. You pay the spread. That's your trading cost. A partner code doesn't touch it.
Partner code 128979 gets you access to the deposit bonus. Bonus money added to your account based on deposit size. That's all it does.
What's the bonus amount?
Deposit $1,000 and get $200.
Deposit $2,000 for $400 bonus.
Deposits between $5,000 and $9,999 get $1,000.
Deposit $100,000+ and you can get up to $14,000. Most people won't hit that.
UK accounts start at £160 for £800 deposited. Top tier reaches £11,200.
Minimum to open an account is $100. Bonus requires $1,000 minimum.
Where to enter the code
Registration page. After you enter your phone number, there's a small link saying "Have a Partner Code?". Click the arrow. The field expands. Type **128979**.
Most people miss it because it doesn't look like a proper form field until you click.
If you see an error, it's fine. Go ahead and register anyway. Contact support before funding. Ask them to add here code 128979. They handle this regularly.
Bonus withdrawal conditions
There's a volume requirement.
Around 10,000 units per dollar of bonus. You'd need to trade 2,000,000 units to unlock a $200 bonus. Can take time with smaller position sizes. Active traders hit it quicker than expected.
Your own money stays yours. Access it whenever you need. Bonus funds remain locked until volume is met.
Something useful to understand: while the bonus is locked, it still counts toward your margin. Allows for slightly larger trades. For someone still learning, that buffer can keep you in the game long enough to figure things out.
